XIAYAN GUO’S GUIDE TO PARIS

Styling an edited range of her favourite Fisayo’s looks, the Chinese model and content creator shows off her contemporary style and gives an insight into her Parisian world, sharing insider tips on her go-to hang-outs in this buzzy French capital.

Xiayan Guo has lived in Paris for 13 years. She first moved to the city from China to study, but over the past decade she’s carved out a career as a model and earned a dedicated following thanks to her flawless style. “Parisians are always very chic but elegant, not too much. Less is always more,” she says. Right now she lives in the 8th district which she loves for its peace and simplicity and its community feel.

Where to Stay

SINNER

I love the vibes at Sinner. It’s the place I normally go to at night for drinks or dinner with friends.

Other places to stay:

CH TEAU VOLTAIRE: Chateau Voltaire is a beautiful, French style hotel. It’s not very big but it’s very chic.

LES BAINS PARIS: This hotel has very nice rooms and the service is amazing.

LA RESERVE: It’s a beautiful hotel with an amazing location right in the centre of Paris and its food is delicious.

Where to Eat/Drink

LA PLUME PARIS

The place to go for Asian fusion food, which is my favourite, with a beautiful view.

Other places to eat:

XIAOLONGKAN AND FONDU 9: For hotpot, a traditional, very spicy Chinese food that we normally eat with a lot of friends and cozy family vibes.

A.T: A Japanese restaurant where the food is art.

OGATA: Another must-visit for beautiful and delicious Japanese dishes.

What I Wore

YOUR PARIS WARDROBE

A concept and clothing store. It’s not very big but you can always find something interesting there.

Other places to order:

LE MARIAS: My favorite area in Paris with winding streets that are perfect for exploring.

THE RUE ST HONORÉ: A very chic place where you can find all the luxury brands and some lovely hotels for having drinks or dinner.

GALERIE VIVIENNE: For small, luxury stores in the most beautiful covered arcade.

What to do

ROLLING STONE

A hotel that was once home to rock royalty. Taking over the street where the Sex Pistols once lived, the Rolling Stones recorded and where Bowie and Hendrix hung out – if the walls here could speak, you’d be hooked.

Other places to visit:

THE BOX: A cult classic, there is no show quite like the one at the Box. Dress to impress for the discerning doorman.

UPSTAIRS AT RONNIE SCOTTS: The iconic jazz venue lets loose upstairs and hosts weekly Cuban and Funk nights. The best place to dance like nobody is watching on a Friday or Saturday night.

THIRTEEN: Perched on the iconic Denmark Street, Thirteen serves cocktails, small plates, good times and great beats.
